Chris Starr Found Guilty on Drawing a Dangerous Weapon
Trial Wednesday saw three affidavits against Chris Starr for assault and battery drawing a dangerous weapon and pointing a loaded revolver. The judge dismissed two charges and convicted Starr on drawing a dangerous weapon, fining twenty five dollars plus costs. An appeal to the circuit court seems likely.

Local Pension Increase for George Stewart
George Stewart residing on the west side received a pension raise from 14 to 17 dollars per month. He earned the increase by serving on detail duty and helping mount a cannon on a carriage when the gun rolled over, breaking both arms at the wrists. The injuries were never properly set and left him crippled since the accident.
