Grat Neeley returned from Pennsylvania with a 210 pound deer killed in Preston county. Neeley presented the head to Mrs. Dinna Wagner for mounting as a trophy. Knob church held preaching services Saturday and Sunday led by Rev. Jenkins and Rev. Walker. weather and road conditions reduced attendance.
Citizens and high school patrons enjoyed a program by the Hunting club with Prof Bibbee of Concord College demonstrating taxidermy on a bird. Bible class met at L R Brammer's home with numerous attendees. Weekend visits and local travel noted among Serena residents.
Brushfork notes funeral for N Joyce, school dismissed to attend. Brushfork boys beat Glenwood, girls lose at Wade Gym Bluefield. Local visits include Virgie Frances of Williamson and others. A infant Bernice Flitha dies. families travel between Bluefield Falls Mills Pocahontas and Dodge Institute.

The Philathea class of Twin Branch Sunday School announced plans to distribute Christmas food baskets to needy families. About several baskets will provide meals for a day or two, with Mrs. N. U. Tate as sponsor and H. BR. Gilson and Miss Helen Beavers in leadership roles. Local supporters include Shep Thomas Lillian Bailey and M. M. Freeman.
The Twin- Branch Parent-Teacher Association held its monthly meeting at the school with Mrs. W. K. Howard presiding. Programs were presented by Mrs. W. R. Martin Rev Mysor Mrs EB E Williams and W I Woodell followed by refreshments. A Christmas program by Twin Branch school children Friday ends the holiday schedule. faculty members including Misses Margaret Sauer Madelynne Sauer Athleen Cline Margaret Cline and Mrs. are listed as vacationing elsewhere.
