Monon Depot Burglarized as Two Boys Arrested
Last Tuesday at noon the Monon depot was broken into while agent L D Wood dined. Two boys found near the station were arrested on suspicion and tickets found with them. They are Charles Crass 21 Butler Ave Indianapolis and Morris Everett 122 Kealing Ave Indianapolis. Crass is sixteen and Everett seventeen. An obituary note praises a local elderly figure to be published soon.

Haig Receives First Lieutenant Commission in National Army
Dr G F Haig son of Dr John M Haig of Leroy Illinois has been commissioned as First Lieutenant in the Medical Department of the National Army. He trained at Camp Dodge Iowa and earned his stripes in two and a half months after entering as a private. The post carries a 2000 dollar annual salary plus quarters heat and light allowances when not in field quarters. Haig will return to Camp Dodge after a five day furlough spent with his father in this city.
