Serious auto crash injures Miss Berta Herold near Anderson
Miss Berta Herold, visiting Fairmount relatives, suffered a serious ankle tendon severance when a car driven by Dr. Thomas Jones blinded by oncoming lights ran off a hill into a ditch. She was taken to St. John's hospital in Anderson. her condition improved and officials said no serious results were feared.

John Berry died at his daughter Mrs. Belle Rorgan’s home near Marco. He was 85 and active well past age 50, previously managed extensive farmland. Berry served as Knox County Commissioner and applied that judgment to county interests. He had lived with his daughter for years and was missed in Greene and Knox Counties.
