Mrs Eliza McKee of Indianapolis visited James Harrel's family. Mrs W E Keller of Lyons injured her foot risking lockjaw before aid. The Dugger and Adams families attended Nancy Lamb's funeral in Owensburg. C E and A E Keller returned to Indiana University after home time. Mildred Wymer Tula Buckner and Elizabeth Vanmeter attended the track meet at Linton and visited friends. Elmo Dailey and W H Gaston of Indianapolis came to help care for Mrs George Marshall. they returned Monday. Dr Felix Applewhite of Indianapolis spent Sunday with his wife and baby. he took them home Monday. George Cravens of Los Angeles arrived for a visit with his mother Mary A Cravens. his family moved to California nine years ago. Clem Christy, Purdue student, visited Miss Lucile Herold. Christy, a former Mexican border troop lieutenant, may be called to Fort Benjamin Harrison soon. Don Faith, Wisconsin University student, left for Jefferson Barracks Mo to enlist. Faith is grandson of Mrs Laura O Haver.

Woman Injured When Struck From Bridge by Car
Miss Mary Mitchell and Will Rude were struck by a motor car while crossing the Eel River bridge at Worthington. The car hurled them thirty feet to the stone abutment. Miss Mitchell was seriously hurt with a possible back injury, later reported bruised and strained with some improvement.

Auto goes over grade at Elliston with two Lyons youths
Asbury Hunter and his brother Charley Hunter of Lyons were visiting Bloomfield when, on Elliston grade, Charley took the wheel. The car ran to the curb and down the slope. Charley stayed at the wheel while Asbury received minor facial cuts from the windshield. The machine was only slightly damaged.

Death of Harley Workman in town family home
Harley Workman aged about forty two died Saturday night at his parents home from a complication of diseases. Survived by two children and one sister Mrs Harley Heaton. Bloomfield wins the Greene County track meet at Beasley's Park Linton with 46% points, Switz City second, Linton third, Lyons fourth, Jasonville fifth. Top scorers include Fields and Trinkle tied for 10 points, with Gray and Priest also among high totals. Hazel Workman of Bloomfield wins the evening oratorical-piano prize. Mrs George Marshall Suffering Stroke in Critical Condition
Mrs. George Marshall is hospitalized in critical condition after a stroke suffered last Saturday. A neighbor found her on the kitchen floor around six p.m. She recently returned from Indianapolis where she stayed with her daughters Mrs. W. H. Gaston and Mrs. Elmo Dailey and lived alone. The right side is paralyzed but slight improvement was reported today.

Youths Accused of Chicken Thefts
Rex and Lee Blaker eleven and twelve year old sons of Riley Blaker were taken into custody accused of chicken theft. Rex implicated Thomas Titus son of Mrs Titus who denied knowledge. Investigators found the Blaker boys in the theft vicinity with a sack and acknowledged Titus innocence. The chickens belonged to Mrs Walter Shertzer and were likely taken in daylight. Due to age the boys were turned over to their parents pending a hearing.
