Mrs. Sarah Buckner wife of J E Buckner died Wednesday at five o clock at her home three miles north of town after years of partial invalidism and a recent serious illness. She leaves two sons Theodore Buckner of Illinois Gilbert Buckner of Bloomfield eight grandchildren one granddaughter Donna Buckner in the care of grandparents, three brothers, four half-brothers and two half-sisters. Funeral was held today and burial in Buckner cemetery Highland township.

Woman Drowns Self in Rain Barrel Near Spencer
Mrs Levi Steel of Owen county near Spencer died by her own action early Sunday by drowning in a rain barrel. She had been in poor health for years. Her husband gave her medicine the previous night, and the body was found head down in the barrel with a chair nearby where she had climbed in.

Man arrested near Indianapolis on spy suspicion
A man claiming to be J. F. Hirst of Pittsburg Pa was arrested Sunday night at Maywood near Indianapolis suspected of espionage. He said he worked as a tobacco company collector and had spent time at Vandalia railroad stations and Worthington. A number of plans and drafting tools were found when handed to federal authorities.

In the case Headley v. Sage tried in Sullivan County Saturday the jury awarded Headley $500. The suit began in Greene Circuit Court and moved to Sullivan.
