Viets Couple Honored for Fifty Years in Big Timber
Mr and Mrs Johann Viets celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house at the Big Timber Lutheran Parish Hall hosted by their children. The couple wed October 15 1919 in Columbus Montana and have five children ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Their history spans Germany Texas North Dakota and Montana with moves from Rapelje to Gibson and finally Big Timber. Their grandson Johnny LeRoy Viets died in 1965 and Larry D Flattum serves in the Navy in Vietnam.

A teenage drums and multi instrument prodigy Attila Galamb will appear at Big Timber high school Friday October 31 at 2 30 p m. The program is funded by the National School Assembly Agency. Galamb plays drums clarinet saxophone accordion piano tar gato organ guitar harmonica and the Hohner Melodica. He now studies college by correspondence after graduating high school at age 10 percent though appears as a student.
