Hospital Guild Membership Drive Ends Its Fifty Cent Dues
The Hospital Guild announces its annual membership drive with the same fifty cent dues. In the past year the guild donated $1,000 to superintendent Lois Williams for a diathermy unit. Organized in September 1950 after Community Hospital opened, the group supports bedding drapes flower boxes showers and other aids, loaned money for four nurses in training, and gifted hospital employees and Pioneer Home at Christmas. Members may pay dues to treasurer Arlene Manley at the downtown office.

Tronrud Service Held Monday
Funeral services were held at the Big Timber Lutheran church for Morris Tronrud Sr. 74, who died Friday at his ranch home of heart failure. Rev. Eugene W. Nilsen officiated with organist E. O. Overland. Burial was in Mountain View cemetery. Survivors include wife Isoline Tronrud, son Morris Tronrud Jr., daughter Betty Weinfurter, sister, brothers, five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Montana Women of the Moose announce Red Heart Tag Day on Saturday October 25 led by drive chair Florence Dodge to fund Shodair Crippled Children Hospital. The state wide effort supports equipment hospital care and physical therapy for crippled children regardless of race creed or finances. The hospital opened March 2 1938 and remains the region’s sole facility of its kind between the Twin Cities and the coast.

Big Timber Herders Triumph Over Lodge Grass Indians
The Big Timber Herders rolled up 408 total yards to defeat the Lodge Grass Indians 35-6 last Saturday afternoon. Fourteen players contributed to the scoring with Luttschwager and Hauge connecting on multiple passes set up by Gust and Goosey, while the defense limited Lodge Grass to no offensive threats in the second half. The win improves Big Timber to four conference victories and sets up a season finale against Red Lodge for eleven seniors, in the Midland Empire Conference standings where Lodge Grass sits 0-6.
