Services Held For Former Resident Henry Waarum
Henry Waarum a former resident of Big Timber died in Colfax Washington October 12 at age 88. Funeral services were held October 15 at the Danekas Funeral Home chapel Ritzville with Rev. Albert Wagner officiating and burial in Ritzville Lutheran cemetery. Survivors include four daughters eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. his wives were Maret Forsythe and Annie Marie Olson. He was born September 30 1872 in Trondheim Norway and lived in Gibson Washtucna and Big Timber before moving to Washtucna. two daughters accompanied him from Norway in 1908.

Local Fair Winners Place in State
Dixie Warp daughter of Mr and Mrs Arnold Warp won first place in the lamp section of the state electric fair held in Great Falls this week in conjunction with the state meeting of electric co operatives. Ivan Hulin son of Mr and Mrs William Hulin placed second in the electric constructed section. Both were winners at the 4 H fair this summer. It is the second straight year that Dixie has won the state lamp contest. The 33 contestants from nine co operatives toured Malstrom air force base and the Anaconda smelter in Great Falls.

Hunting Party Bags Two Elk North of Butte in Five Day Feasts
Floyd Pierce and five companions hunted about 30 miles north of Butte. They ate $129 worth of groceries and Floyd claims a 15 pound gain. Nominating petitions for farm and rancher candidates to the county ASC committee must be filed by November 10. South Central 4H Leaders Conference Set in Bozeman
The South Central 4H Leaders conference will convene in Bozeman on October 27 and 28 with Ed Adams Jr. presiding.
