Anna J. Holland age 62 longtime Big Timber resident died Monday in Livingston Park Hospital after three weeks in care. She suffered arthritis and used a wheelchair for 13 years. Born October 11 1893 in Big Timber she married Ivar J. Holland August 8 1921. They lived on West Boulder homestead and later on Rapstad Otter creek Isaac Rostad and other ranches before settling in Big Timber in 1942. Survivors include sons Joseph J. Holland and Arthur J. Holland six daughters Ardelle Dobbs Inez Cook Kathryn Ellison Margaret Downing Jean Duffey Arlene Holland a twin brother Lewis Rapstad sister Agnes Rapstad ten grandchildren. Funeral at Big Timber Lutheran Church with Rev Wm A Hood officiating. Music by Mrs A Ronald McDonnell and Mrs Chas Nicholson. Funeral services were held Monday at two o'clock at Finnegan Funeral Home Anaconda for Linda Kathryn Jarrett age three who died last Thursday at Community Hospital after a tonsillectomy. Interment followed in Mt. Carmel cemetery Anaconda. Reverend E Brentwood Barker and Don Murray assisted with the burial. Mrs Grey brought the child from San Diego for the operation. Linda Kathryn was born in Anaconda on November 6 1951 and had recently moved with her mother to San Diego California.

Vernon E. Lewis former Fort Benton attorney and state legislator died in a Great Falls hospital. He served Chateau county in the house and two senate terms, and since 1890 lived in Fort Benton. He was vice chairman of Rocky Mountain College trustees and attorney for the Montana conference of the Methodist church. Survivors include three daughters a brother and two sisters. Mrs. Huffman is his daughter.
