Tragic train death in Big Timber shocks town
A 22 caliber rifle fired from a bridge near Big Timber killed Joseph Leek of Adair Iowa as train No 5 passed. Harry Wadsworth admitted guilt and was charged with involuntary manslaughter. Two younger boys nearby were with Israel Phelps and Tommy Wilson when the incident occurred. Local funeral services followed for Leek, with family traveling to Tacoma.
