Field Trip to O'Dell Ranch by First Graders
First graders from the elementary school enjoyed a sunny October field trip to the O'Dell ranch on the Yellowstone. Mrs. James Preston 77 of Springdale died at Livingston Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born October 11 1886 in Roxbury N Y she married James Preston in 1908 and homesteaded on the Yellowstone near Big Timber before moving to Springdale in 1934. She is survived by her husband five children 11 grandchildren four great grandchildren and two New York nephews. Funeral services were held at Lowry Chapel with Rev Keel Dresback officiating. Interment followed at Mountain View.

Dr Miller Arrives to Open Chiropractic Office in Big Timber
Dr. Miller and his wife Mrs. Miller moved to Big Timber last week to establish residence at 219 West Second and open a chiropractic office in the Masonic building. Licensed in Montana in 1954 he previously left Red Lodge in 1960 to train with the New York Yankees farm system in Texas and the Eastern leagues. He has spent the past year studying post graduate methods including the Van Rumpt directional non force technique and the Spears Hospital technique.
