Mrs. Floy Barbour Goodale 79 of Forsyth died Tuesday after a four month illness in Forsyth Community hospital. Funeral at Beals Chapel with Rev. Tom Sewell officiating. Burial in Forsyth cemetery. Born Oct 16 1885 in Kuna Idaho, she taught at Big Timber Rosebud and Garland. Survived by daughter Dorothy Tadsen Forsyth son Henry J. Goodale Miles City three sisters and a brother plus two grandchildren.

Edgar Johnson reports on the All-State Picnic held in Costa Mesa California noting 38 Montanans attended most born outside the state. Among familiar residents are Jack and Betty White former Big Timber residents. Jack works for Douglas Aircraft and rented an apartment from a sister in San Diego. Raymond Dodge, now a missile engineer at Vandenberg after leaving Cape Kennedy, had a birthday September 26 and hosted a party for his brother Richard, who manages Chevrolet in Glendale. Richard’s family has three sons. Raymond remains single and plans a visit to Big Timber soon.

1963 Census of Retail Trade Findings for Montana

Scouts to Conduct White Cane Drive Saturday
Timber Boy Scouts will stage the annual white cane tag day on October 16 to raise funds for the Montana Association for the Blind.
