In a strong showing the Sheepherder B squad defeated Red Lodge B's 35 to 7. Voges scored two long TDs, McCleerey added two rushing majors and three extra points, Nelson returned a 20 yard TD run, and Moulden notched a safety. Big Timber totaled 340 yards to 115 and intercepted two passes. Twenty three future varsity players appeared as Voges McCleerey and Nelson starred on offense with key defenders including Moulden Bray Reidelbach and Harts. The varsity heads to Livingston B's next Tuesday at 7 30 p.m.

Tilmar Esp Rites Held Saturday For Local Resident
Tilmar Arthur Esp 63 died suddenly in his sleep last Thursday afternoon. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Lutheran church with Rev. William A Hood officiating. American Legion conducted military rites with Col Wallis Huidekoper presenting the flag. Interment followed at Mountain View. Esp, a Sweet Grass county lifelong resident born June 8 1892 at Melville, served in World War I in France. He is survived by his mother Mrs Jennie Esp two brothers Albert and Leonard Esp a sister Mrs Clarence Flattum and his wife Clara Egeland and daughter Mrs IR Lombardy plus two grandchildren.

Miles Dies After Stroke In Great Falls Funeral Today
Theron Miles, 51, longtime Sweet Grass county resident, died Monday afternoon in Great Falls after a stroke. He was the son of Ben Miles of near Spokane Washington. Funeral services are set for 2 oclock today in Great Falls. An obituary will be published next week.

The third annual Targhee I sheep breeders production sale at Billings Livestock Commission yards sold 226 sheep. Top ram sold for 370 dollars to Arnold Breck of Big Timber. Henry Yoppe of Livingston bought a 300 dollar ram. Range rams averaged 76.95 with top pen 92.50. registered ewes averaged 36.30. purebred range ewes sold 22.52. Sieben Livestock Co. sold two pens at 26 per head.

Elk herd may be reduced by 1500 in Yellowstone
The U S Forest Service proposed a plan to shoot about 1500 elk in Yellowstone Park this winter if the herd remains too large for winter range. A spokesman said the target is tentative and the operation would move elk into the public hunting area north of the park.
