Rollover Crash Near Big Timber Sends Two To Hospital
A Sunday afternoon crash on the Boulder road nine miles south of Big Timber involved a Volkswagen driven by Connie Christ. The vehicle slid on a curve and rolled in a barrow pit, ejecting both occupants. Connie Christ and passenger Margaret Hanson were transported to Big Timber hospital by ambulance.

Big Timber earned a 32 to 12 football win over Harlowton as a relentless defense forced seven of nine fumbles and a strong first quarter surge built a 20 point lead. Dr. John P. Hager advances from assistant professor to associate professor in Metallurgical Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines. He is a Golden Colorado resident, son of the John Hagers of Big Timber, and a graduate of local high school. He holds BS from Montana School of Mines, MS from Missouri School of Mines, and SeD from MIT with industrial experience at Avco, Battelle, and Union Carbide. Military Rites Held for Sgt Mack
M Sgt Vern A Mack 30 any veteran of Vietnam Korea and other stations died in a car crash Sept 22 1969. Services were held Sept 27 at Lowry Funeral Home with Rev Joseph LaDu. Interment Mountain View cemetery. He was born Nov 27 1932 in Dawson county Montana and later lived in Big Timber. He leaves a widow Marina Calif and multiple siblings. He earned the Bronze Star and two commendation medals.
