Irish War Bride Begins Prison Term in Nevada
Bridget Walters an Irish war bride, convicted of involuntary manslaughter for shooting her estranged husband, started a one to five year sentence at Nevada state prison in Carson City. Warden Francis Sheedy and wife transported Walters and her 18 month old son Frank Jr. from Clark County Jail. The child will be cared for by Catholic nuns near the prison. Walters plans to return to England with the baby upon release and becomes parole eligible in nine months.
