New Mail Crane To Be Installed
A. B. Riley of the Northern Pacific says a worn pickup crane caused mail sacks to break at Big Timber. The crane, installed with the two fast trains, will be replaced Monday. Funeral services Friday for J Harvey Close
Funeral services for J Harvey Close professional square dance caller and instructor will be held Friday at 2 PM from Lowry Funeral Home with Rev Jack Howlett officiating. Interment in Mountain View cemetery. He died yesterday at his ranch ten miles west of Harlowton after long cancer illness. He was born August 8 1899 in Port Okla to John T and Ivy Close. He lived in Texas before moving to Montana in 1950 to teach square and folk dancing at the Van Cleve Dude ranch. He married Margaret Chapman Larsen in 1950 and had two more children. He later moved to Two Dot and built a statewide teaching reputation. He is survived by his wife Margaret and five children, plus a stepdaughter and four brothers.

Two thousand one hundred ninety nine people in Sweet Grass county were x-rayed by a mobile unit achieving 82.3 percent coverage. Fifty had suspect abnormalities. final pathology included one tuberculosis case, seven other pathologies, one neoplasm, twelve heart issues, and one negative. The survey was supported by the Montana Christmas Seal Sale led by Dr Olive Baskett and Mrs H Anderson.
