Sweet Grass County High hosts Open House on Thursday November 11. The SGHS Band Concert led by Music Director David Boys opens at 7 30 p m in the High School Gym and an Open House follows. Parents visit classrooms in ten minute slots to learn course goals grading and new equipment. Coffee and donuts served in the Hot Lunch Room after sessions.
Census data show Sweet Grass County having 292 farms in 1969 up from 286 in 1964. Of these 255 sold 2500 or more in 1969, with average farm size about 2909 acres and average farm value around 163,515 dollars. Total farm sales reached 6,485,464 dollars, with crops at 360,233 and livestock and products at 6,124,425.
The Belgrade Panthers clinched the Southern Division Class B football title with a 38-12 victory over Big Timber. Big Timber, District 5 champion, faced penalties fumbles and interceptions that the Panthers converted into touchdowns. Mike Oriet scored five of Belgrade’s six TDs as the game stayed competitive in the second half.

Born Stavanger Norway June 24 1928 she later lived in Fort Dodge Iowa Big Timber Montana Minneapolis and Billings. Survived by husband Terrill four daughters Sharon Sigrid Evelyn Linda two sons Arnold Tom parents Peder Malde sister Ludwig Bue brothers Ole Sven.
