Hobby Show At Wil Stero Garden Club Draws Crowd
The annual Hobby Show at Fraternity Hall drew nearly 300 visitors over Friday and Saturday. Displays covered Christmas decorations, needlework, ceramics, paintings, candles, dolls, toys and artificial flowers. Mrs Alban Roemer chaired the show committee with Miss Ellen Plaggemeyer leading the hosting committee. Citizens Bank received the Bank Silver Clover Citation from Olaf Brekke in a ceremony recognizing participation in the National 4-H Foundation program. Lunch followed, then dancing with Larry Lovely's Band.

Bloodmobile date set for Big Timber drive
The Red Cross Bloodmobile will visit Big Timber at the American Legion Hall on Friday November 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Organizer Montana M. Keller hopes to collect 45 pints after a year without draws. A local sewing and prize event followed, with Wool Growers sponsoring contests and awards to county girls. The Big Timber Yard & Scale Association elected officers for the coming year and discussed tax implications and potential town water connections.

Fire Destroys Farm House Near Big Timber
An afternoon blaze around 3 30 p m destroyed a log farm house on the old Hovland place about three miles north of Big Timber. Kenneth Biehls occupy the residence. Kenneth Moore reporting the fire from Tin Can Hill. The Big Timber Volunteer Fire Department contained the flames but no one was home. A smaller house nearby and a haystack were dampened. The cause remains speculation and lines were burned cutting telephone service. Other items note Grand National Livestock Exposition results and a Livingston funeral for Howard K McGee.

PP and K Champ Jay Graham Heads to Denver Contest
Jay Graham an 11 year old two time Zone and District PP and K winner leaves Friday for Sundays competition in Denver during halftime of the Broncos Bengals game. He is accompanied by his parents James and the family and by local Ford dealer rep Jim Esp and his wife.
