Nick Lorig aged 63 died Thursday at Community hospital after a brief illness. He was buried from St Joseph's Catholic church Monday at 10 a m with interment in Mountain View.Lowry's conducted the services. Rev Fr Wolframski of Columbus officiated at church and graveside. Music by Mrs John Hager Mrs Louis Mysse with Mrs Leo Gilroy on organ. Pallbearers Al bert Wagner Frank Ault Harold Roe Robert A Bray Joe Spann ring W K Amery. He was born April 1 1881 in Caledonia Minn and came to this country 28 years ago as a cement worker. A car motorcycle collision twelve years ago cost him a leg. He learned to use an artificial limb and worked at self supporting jobs while tending a home and garden on the west side. Survived by brother John Lorig Jamestown ND sister Mrs Anna Kramer Akeley Minn a nephew M A Lorig and wife and other nephews and nieces. The relatives returned home Tuesday.

London dispatches report that at Vught concentration camp in Holland more than 13 000 Dutch persons were executed and cremated during Nazi occupation. About 35 000 were imprisoned there at one time under harsh conditions with Dutch Red Cross access after Hitler’s inspection. over 3 000 prisoners were shot between June and September 1944 and many more died from cruel treatment.
