Mrs C C Gray prints a letter by S E Mass denouncing Taft and praising Hoover. It recalls Depression hardships, scarce rabbits and fishing, flour sack wear, and warned voters to avoid Taft. The piece attacks Republicans, mocks watered gravy, and vows to move back to the farm if Taft wins.
Eddie L Gunderson and Rita Christensen wed at Big Timber Lutheran church with Rev L Onstad officiating. The ceremony, attended by 250 guests, featured a lace gown, green maid of honor dress, and a five tier cake, followed by a reception in the parish hall and departure to Fort Benning Georgia.

Danny Spoon one year old, son of Mr and Mrs Orville Spoon of Grey Cliff, had an emergency appendectomy at Community Hospital last Thursday. he was brought in Monday. Charlie Rouse left Saturday for Slater Missouri after the accidental death of his eldest son Tom, age 46, who was killed in a truck accident Friday. Tom is survived by his widow, a son, a daughter and two granddaughters. a former Gibson area resident.
Mrs. Mary Forewald aged 67 collapsed at rural schools commencement and died four hours later from a cerebral hemorrhage. A Catholic funeral was held at St. Josephs with burial at Mountain View. Forewald taught for nearly 50 years across Sweet Grass and surrounding counties and served as county superintendent 1906-08. Survivors include her husband Joe Forewald a sister Mrs. John OToole and a brother P J Deegan.
Big Timber juniors shine at national sectional rifle meet in Bozeman on April 26. Junior Sharpshooters No. 1 place third with 713 in two position team match. No. 2 place fourth with 710. Individual honors include Adrian Eigen third in boys and Leo Uhrich and Barbara Van Cleve high in girls. Bronze medals awarded to top teams. detailed lineups and coaching staff listed.
Mayor Harold Boe will pitch the first ball Sunday at 2 p m signaling the opening of the southern Montana PeeWee baseball league in Absarokee versus Big Timber at the athletic field. The Legion sponsored league features 16 players per game, about 40 boys practicing, and a festive opening with city band and council umpiring to boost local support.

Memorial Day events led by Col Huidekoper include services at 10 a m and a parade from the courthouse with color guard and bands. The American Legion will place flowers and flags, fire rifle volleys, and taps, followed by speeches by Mayor Harold Roe and Ralph Prather at the Legion Hall.

A Wednesday evening service will be inaugurated at First Congregational church to duplicate the regular Sunday worship. The plan, proposed by the pastor, will run through the summer as long as profitable. It aims to give recreation and worship access for locals with outdoor weekend plans. The Sunday service remains at 11 o clock all summer.
The county federation president Mrs Dorman Kellogg announces a June 5 apron sale by county women clubs to support the incubator project. Proceeds fund the federation effort and the sale coincides with the federation quarterly meeting.
Leo Cremer returns from Miles City with a stock of 52 horses from 375 bucked out for three days. His first show starts June 11 in Des Moines, features Sons of the Pioneers and Cisco Kid and Pancho, with one rodeo per day on TV. The tour lists dates in Spencer, Miles City, Mandan, Nampa, Colorado Springs, Casper, Billings, Iowa State Fair, Pueblo, Omaha, Denver, and Chicago.
