Woman Killed In Auto Crash Near Big Timber
A tourist, Mrs. William E. Holden of Moscow Idaho, 53, was killed when a late model Ford driven by her husband struck a telephone pole 842 miles west of Big Timber on a curve after sun glare caused the crash. The Holdens were returning from a visit to a son in Pennsylvania. funeral services and burial will follow in Moscow.

Mrs. Olina Hoyem 82 died Tuesday in a Billings hospital after a long illness from a heart ailment. Born November 8 1869 in Norway she moved from Big Timber to Billings in 1928 to live with her son Michael O Hoyem. Funeral services are set for 10:30 Friday at Settergren chapel Billings and 2 pm at the Lutheran church in Big Timber with burial in Mountain View. She is survived by her son and a brother Engebrit Smehaug of Norway.

Mrs. Ed Braaten learned today of the death at 1 15 this morning of her father Aksel Wiklund 79 in a Spokane rest home. He had been there three and a half years and dies of infirmities of old age. Wiklund was well known in Big Timber having spent eight winters at the Braaten home before moving to Spokane. Funeral services and burial will be at his former home in New England.

Achievement Day Set For June 10
The Home Demonstration club hosts Achievement Day at the Legion hall on Tuesday afternoon June 10. A 12 noon pot luck lunch for members families, then at 1 the public may view the nine clubs displays. At 1 30 each club performs a skit of its year’s work followed by a door prize drawing. Older 4H clubs offer to care for children during the event.
