Community urged to help finish pool project at the park

Lodges civic groups and residents are asked to lend a hand at the swimming pool site. Blu ford Bly and Howard Forsythe lead the work as smoothing and rock removal remain before forming. Harold Faw found a well preserved buffalo head near the J A Faw ranch after the flood, on display in The Pioneer window.

Mrs Regina Ellingson Dies Suddenly in Spokane

Regina Ellingson 61 widow of John G. Ellingson dies after a stroke at her Spokane home. Survived by daughters Mina and Joy of Spokane and son George of Portland, plus father Isaac Rostad, brother Oscar Rostad, six grandchildren and four nieces. Burial in Spokane beside her husband. Funeral Saturday.

Sam Sanderson Dies In Idaho

News reaches Big Timber of Sam Sanderson's death in Boise Idaho on April 6 He was a prominent early rancher in Melville country and would have turned 60 on May 11 A successful sheepman he owned the Ole Langhus ranch near the Crazies moved to Miles City about 30 years ago later to Mountain Home Idaho and finally Boise where he and his second wife lived His first wife died in Miles City at a daughter's home Mrs W B Clarke and Miss Cora Sanderson of Boise survive the family also includes the bride’s brother Bill Officer in the navy stationed in San Diego.

Relay Race to Headline Big Timber Legion Celebration

A 32 mile relay from Livingston to Big Timber opens a two day July 31 and August 1 gala. Riders will change horses at stations with a $400 purse. Proceeds go to the Legion building fund.
