Livingston Woman Ends Life by Jumping From Train
Mrs. Cora Masden known as Mrs. Cora Rhodes of Livingston reportedly died after leaping from a moving Northern Pacific train between Gilbert and Elliston Montana. She had been monitored for mental distress and was returning to Livingston from Tacoma. The body was identified by Northern Pacific records and shipped for burial.

Billings Gazette reports Harry Carter, 21, a clerk at the Fishtail general store and post office, is accused of absconding with about 200 dollars in postal funds and embezzling 600 to 700 dollars of store money. Post office inspector Paul Bentley announced a search. Carter left town with Wade Farrell, while Farrell had no known involvement. Carter, son of a respected local family, left after the shortage was discovered by postmaster G. Hammond following his illness and Carter's leadership of the business.

Local public and high schools staged a flurry of events from Friday through Saturday. Juniors performed a play "$1200 a Year" to a good crowd, followed by a grade school cantata Rip Van Winkle led by Miss Thelma Allen and Miss Alice Haderli with 100 upper grade singers and 19 lower grade numbers. The seniors heard Rev. Arthur E. Prior at Congregational church, and a Junior Prom with wood scene decorations and punch served from an Indian tepee.
