Churches and volunteers urge public participation. Separately, the county sheriff reports multiple bicycle thefts from kids and a yellow Yamaha trail cycle taken April 3. more equipment stolen from Washington Construction near Grey Cliff. Police ask residents to notify if items are found or seen.

Roping Meet in Inverness Sees Brewer Second
Thirty teams from Montana Wyoming and Idaho competed Sunday May 2 at Inverness Horse Village near Livingston. Loren Brewer and Larry McComb finished second with 16.07 seconds behind Glen Hough and Phil Luman who were first at 14.08. Brewer and Bruce Herden won a fifth for a free dinner at the Sport.

Billings Math Contest Sees SGHS Students Shine
Ron Henry son of Mr and Mrs Eugene Henry of Melville and Eleanor Pile daughter of Mr and Mrs Clarence Pile of Grey Cliff represented Sweet Grass High School at the annual Math Club of Billings competition. They faced class B schools Hardin Billings Central Laurel Red Lodge and two Billings Junior High Schools. Henry topped all papers in Geometry and Pile earned honorable mention in Algebra. Coach Ed Holmberg accompanied them and was pleased.

Grades Will Participate In Livingston Spring Music Festival
About 40 grade school musicians travel by bus to Livingston Saturday at 7 30 for the annual Spring Music Festival. They will perform solo and in small groups for adjudicators with a massed band and selected ensembles. Lawrence Smith leads the group with several chaperones.

Sweet Grass County BURNS Marijuana at City Landfill
In a rare disposal action, Sweet Grass Sheriff Officials Burned 80 of 104 packages of seized marijuana at the city landfill after a December confiscation when a car trunk near Boulder held the drugs. One suspect, Ronald David Hughes of Seattle, was convicted for Possession of Dangerous Drugs and sentenced to 44 years. The rest of the marijuana was sent to state laboratories and sheriffs for drug education displays.
