Rapstad with 35 points topped the annual rural schools meet held at the fairgrounds on Friday. Grey Cliff was second with 26 and Dry Creek third with 19. Other scores included Welville 17, Duck Creek 15, Glasston 13, Bridge 12, McLeod 11, Wormser 10, West White Beaver 3, Knob Hill 3, and Wild Rose 1. Rod and Gun Club Holds Regular Meet
The Big Timber Rod and Gun club met Tuesday at the Dugout with 14 members present. Proceeds from the Strickland fish fry totaled 230 dollars. A committee led by Jim Brannin will install mileage signs to Glasston Lake and ten tentative plans were made to cooperate with the Boat club in a lake regatta. George Lamach displayed game animal pictures and South American photos from his son. The club has 86 members. Next regular meeting set for June 14.

At the state music festival in Missoula last week students earned excellent ratings. Joseph Bartholomaus 55 died Friday night at Big Timber Rest Home after a cancer illness. He had lived in Big Timber about 20 years and previously worked at Boulder Creamery and various bars. Survived by brother Fred of Sidney, sister Mrs. Marie Smith of Seattle, and half brother George Palmer of Los Angeles. Funeral at Lowry Chapel with Rev. R. R. Price. Interment Mountain View.

Rodeo Parade Fund Struggles With Low Cash Balance

Boat Club Plans Regatta and Trips in Summer
The boat club approved a regatta at Glasstone Lake in late July featuring boat races and skiing exhibitions. A lake fete and a member trip to Sheshoni Lake in Yellowstone Park were also discussed.
