Arts evening at Sweet Grass High School
Sweet Grass High School hosts a Thursday arts evening featuring about 1,000 grade and high school entries in the Youth Art Exhibit, with SGHS music including a Pops Concert led by Bonnie Conner. Admission for the concert costs 1.50 for adults and 1.00 for students. the display runs Friday 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the gym.

Big Timber approves rezoning for 24 unit apartment complex
By a 3 to 1 vote the Big Timber City Council approved reclassifying Lots 1 through 10, Block 24 Moore Addition to allow a 24 unit complex on Suh Avenue behind the Pioneer Nursing Home. Contractor Robert Johnson's plan Sweet Grass Village includes senior housing with ground level units, air conditioning, stove and refrigerator, coin laundry, and a meeting room, funded partly by a federal grant. About 40 residents attended with 13 in favor and 11 opposed, while concerns about property values and future eligibility for non elderly tenants were raised. The project would begin if not challenged, with potential waiver options if units remain under-occupied.
