Glenos O. Cox, 23, son of Mrs. Martha Cox of Melville, died from a pistol bullet wound at his Harlowton home Friday night. His sister found him the next morning. He had recently brought his wife Shirley Huyser and their child to Big Timber, both ill with flu. Funeral services are set for Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Church of God in Big Timber with Rev. A. Erickson. Burial in Mountain View.
Four churches organize a three hour Good Friday service at the Lutheran church April 11 from noon to 3. Seven units of about 25 minutes include Scripture, hymn, music, prayer and meditation with Rev. Bott Rev. Erickson Rev. Tollefson and Rev. Barker leading each segment.

Edwin H. Ellingson 80 longtime Sweet Grass County resident died of a heart attack at the Almeda cafe early Sunday morning. He was custodian at the courthouse and active in Lions, Pioneer Society, and local church affairs. Survivors include two daughters, a son, a brother and three sisters. Funeral set for Thursday at 2 p.m. at Big Timber Lutheran Church with burial in Mountain View.
Sponsored by Col. Wallis the first Huidekoper match in Sweet Grass county is set for Sunday March 23. Big Timber Rifle and Pistol club members will fire 20 shots per position across four positions with separate adult junior and youth events and an old timer shoot using .22 rifles on a 10 bull target. Awards await first and second places in all events.
Peter A. Benson 77 of Forsyth died Monday in a Billings hospital after an extended illness. He had lived in Big Timber and Melstone before moving to Forsyth. Survived by five sisters in Big Timber and four brothers in Montana and Norway. Burial will be in Mountview Cemetery, Billings.

Members listed with Mrs Lois McLoughlin as director and Mrs Leone Orleman as accompanist. No admission. an offering will help defray expenses.
Mr and Mrs Harold Smith hosted his parents Mr and Mrs Leroy Smith of Belt and an aunt and uncle Mr and Mrs George V Paris of Great Falls. They spent Friday night with the Smiths.
The St. Joseph's parish hall overflowed with 150 guests for Mr. and Mrs. Harry McComb's twenty fifth wedding anniversary. A pot luck dinner followed, with gifts including a service for eight and plans for an electric mixer. Attendees included family such as Mrs. Onie Davis and Mrs. Rudolph Michels, with readers and singers adding to the celebration. The couple married February 16 1927 in Columbus and have lived in Big Timber 16 years, previously ranching locally. They are parents to four daughters all present, including Mrs. Alvin Gorr and Mrs. John Pantelakes.
Edwin Wheeler son of Mr and Mrs Homer Wheeler arrives from Los Angeles with his wife and two children to attend the funeral of Ed Ellingson. Mrs Sanna Berg sister in law of the deceased arrives from Glendive with others for services.

They spent six weeks in Mesa Arizona then San Diego and Los Angeles visiting Forest Lawn Memorial Park and Griffith Observatory. He praises Forest Lawn as the most beautiful cemetery with extensive sculpture and a dramatic Last Supper window.
