Big Timber Herders finish third in District 5 Midland Conference tournament at the Billings Shrine Auditorium. They beat Roundup 78 77 in two overtimes, then Lodge Grass 66 60 in semis, and Absarokee 82 61 to secure a spot in the Southern Divisional Tournament in Livingston starting March 4. Lodge Grass won the championship by defeating Red Lodge.

School dismisses by 2 p.m. Thursday March 4 for band pep bus departures to the tournament. Bus routes suspended Thursday afternoon and Friday if Big Timber plays in the afternoon. Drill team performs at Friday’s first game. Pep and Band bus attend only Saturday sessions when Herders play.
