Recreation Sticker Program Extends Through March 31 1966
The annual seven dollar recreation sticker may be used unlimited times and admits holders to national parks and other federal recreation areas. Stickers purchased now remain valid until March 31, 1966. Group picnics at improved national forest grounds need a group reservation at five dollars for up to 50 people or ten dollars for 50 to 100. The sticker is not required for group picnics but must be displayed when using a charge recreation area. Funds from sticker sales go to the Land and Water Conservation fund to help local planning and development of recreation areas, with remaining funds used by federal agencies to acquire key recreation sites, mainly in congested eastern areas.
