Wild Rivers System urged by Montana Wildlife Federation
The Montana Wildlife Federation backed a plan including fourteen rivers in a wild rivers system. Gov. Babcock outlined the idea and urged protections for outdoor recreation facilities, predicting tripling use in 15 years. Resolutions urged pollution law goals and long range trout protection, while a proposal to increase trout possession limits failed.

Sunday evening June 20 at Big Timber Lutheran Church hosted the wedding of Sandra Hetland and Clarence Todd with Rev Ocee Johnson officiating before about forty guests. The bride wore a silk organza gown with lace trim and a pearl tiara veil, carrying pink carnations. maid of honor Deborah Lowry wore pink taffeta with white lace and pink carnations. Best man was Donald Todd Jr. A reception followed at the bride’s parents home and the couple plans to reside on the groom’s Reed Point ranch after a weeklong honeymoon to Flathead Lake. Stickers Set for July 1 to Enter National Forest Areas
Missoula reports a new $7 Land and Water Conservation Act recreation sticker will be required for private non commercial auto holders in designated National Forest camp and picnic areas starting July 1. The sticker covers entry to Forest Service campgrounds and national parks where fees apply. Daily tickets and 25 cent picnic only tickets also offered.

Peter Riveland, 76, died Sunday afternoon at his home. Funeral was Wednesday at Big Timber Lutheran Church with Rev. Ocee Johnson officiating. Music by Mrs. A Ronald McDonnell and Mrs. Margaret Busha. Interment in Mountain View. Survivors: widow Elsie, four sons Edwin Kenneth Harold and Vernon, five grandchildren. Preceded by daughter Thelma in 1927. He lived in Big Timber since 1921 with multiple ranch moves prior.

Tully Lavold Named Return Camper for 1966 Red Lodge 4H
Tully Lavold of the Porcupine Butte 4H club was chosen as a return camper for 1966 by 1965 Red Lodge Junior Leadership Camp delegates. Six of 102 junior leaders from 11 Montana counties earned return camper status to help plan and run the winter and summer camp programs. County Agent Bob Racicot praised Sweet Grass and Wheatland counties for strong delegations and commended Mrs. Harry Croft for leading the camp notebook effort, a 29 page written and mimeographed record for campers to take home.

Eva Bush 75 a Livingston Big Timber area resident for 60 years died in a Livingston hospital. Born February 17 1890 in Somerset Kentucky she moved to Montana in 1905 and married William Edward Bush in 1919 at Mandan North Dakota. Surviving are her husband two sons Charles Sloan and Harold Bush a brother a half brother seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral today at 2 p m at Lowry Funeral Chapel Livingston with Rev Wilbur Armagast of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial at Park View Memorial Gardens.

Judging Contest Held Sunday at Roland Woodhouse Ranch
A large crowd gathered Sunday at the Roland Woodhouse ranch for a stock judging session sponsored by the Yellow Stone Victorians 4-H club. About 150 participants judged cattle, sheep, and wool from 10 am to 5 pm, with prizes awarded in FFA and 4-H divisions and a cow and calf matching contest won by Colleen Haaland.

Delegates will draft a workable code of ethics for today.
