Liberty Bell Tour Visits Montana Civic Event
A crowd gathered last night to view Montana's replica Liberty bell on tour for the Independence savings bond drive. The truck mounted bell toured from the courthouse to the Legion hall with Legion color guard Scouts and other participants. Joe Roemer rang the bell with others invited to ring it, and plans to place the replica in the state capitol at Helena were announced.

A marriage license was issued Saturday to Arthur L. Arnold 31 and Evelyn E. Tucker 27 of Laurel. Miss Tucker is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Fred Tucker. Local news also reports a car wreck near Columbus injuring Jake Bue with a broken leg. Others escaped injury and the car was demolished after overturning en route from a dance.

Forsyth Man Died of Heart Attack While Traveling
D. J. Muir 77 of Forsyth died at the Cort hotel in Forsyth after a heart attack en route from Bryn Mawr Washington to Forsyth via Missoula and Big Timber. He previously served as Rosebud county undersheriff and later as district court clerk for many years and was a member of the state board of equalization. Services were held in Forsyth yesterday.
