Nepstad Finds Stolen Car After Meter-Ticket Clue

O A Nepstad of Ferdig reported a 1946 gray sedan stolen from a parking spot near the Grand hotel. The car reappeared in the city garage Friday after Ed Anderson, a parking meter repairman, reported a car with an overtime ticket sitting in front of the Treasure State Building for several days. Police verified the vehicle belonged to Nepstad.

Mjelde-Mecklenburg Wedding Solemnized In Billings

A double wedding at the Billings Methodist church unites Harriet and Ruth Mecklenburg daughters of Rev. Henry C. Mecklenburg to Bill Eugene Mjelde and John Warren. The ceremony featured white peonies, a white-tapered altar, and a two brides with blue and steel gray dresses. A reception and dinner followed, with future home in Big Timber.

Play Day Parade Solicitors Rally. $266 Raised

The Sweet Grass county Play Day committee reports strong local business support for prizes. Herbert Wullum and Ceryl OLeary led soliciting efforts, raising $266 by noon with contributions including $50 from Frank P Mackey and $25 car cooler from Coca Cola Bottling Co of Billings. A prize list meeting is planned for early next week.

Lloyd Henderson to Manage Hardin Laundry

A new serve yourself laundry named Lloyd's Laundry opened in Hardin this week. It offers automatic washing machines with damp dry service and currently operates three machines with nine more planned. Located just east of the Rio DeLuxe Cabin, Lloyd Henderson acts as manager.

St Joseph Parish Formed In Big Timber With Fr Wolframski

The Big Timber congregation becomes a parish with Fr Pancratius C Wolframski named its resident pastor. Installation set for July 1 at 7 30 pm. The ceremony will include oaths, keys, and a Benediction led by Fr Wolframski, with Msgr Hennessy preaching.

Services Held For Thorval Gunderson

Funeral services for Thorval Jacob Gunderson 76 who died of a heart attack in a Billings hospital were held at the Big Timber Lutheran church with Rev E E Tollefson officiating Lowrys arranged the service Norwegian readings and songs were performed by Rev Holbeck and Tollefson. Pallbearers named include Tom Anderson Q O Schulz Nils Petersen Dick Armstrong Andrew Holland and Charles McDonnell. He is survived by his widow a son Dr T G Gunderson of Billings three daughters Mrs John F Courtney of San Bernardino California Mrs Harry Shipton and Mrs Lars Messing Big Timber a sister in Norway 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Three sons Sigbert Gunder and Edwin preceded him in death.

Spieth and Buskirk Wed in Bil ling Evangelical Church

Donald L. Spieth of Bozeman and Grace Buskirk, daughter of Sweet Grass County, wed Saturday at 10 pm in Billings Evangelical Church with Rev. Claire L. Harris officiating. Attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nunley. Mrs. Spieth, a 1938 Sweet Grass HS graduate and 1946 Anderson Beauty School alumna, operates a Klindt's Pharmacy beauty shop. The groom served three years in the European theater and they plan to reside in Bozeman after Sept. 1.

Harvey Coit Services Held in San Diego

Last rites for Harvey Coit 69 who died of coronary thrombosis on June 12 at Quintard hospital were held at the Johnson-Saum mortuary chapel in San Diego with Rev. Ed ward W Kilburn presiding and cremation following. Survived by widow Eleanor S Coit and one son Frederick P Coit of 3353 28th St San Diego. Born December 5 1877 in Columbus Ohio he moved from Montana to California after ill health and earlier worked with Briggs and Ellis Company becoming vice president and Montana manager before its sale in 1940.

Kathryn Holland daughter of Mrs. Ivar Holland married Archie Ellison son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ellison Saturday at 11:30 am in the American Lutheran church Livingston. Rev. E. S. Tollefson officiated.
