The Sweet Grass County Wool Marketing association consigned its 1947 wool clip of about 22 000 fleeces to Wilkins & Co after no bid of 45 cents or more. One telegram bid of 40 1/4 cents from Colonial House was rejected. Advances include 1 per fleece at signing and 35 cents per pound if the government program returns, or 65 percent of appraised value if not.

Funeral Services Held For Mrs. Don Martin
Last rites for Mrs. Cora M. Martin widow of Don Martin pioneer settler were held at Perkins chapel with Rev. Mr. Orner officiating. Burial followed at Harlowton cemetery. She was born August 6 1868 in Zanesville Ohio and later lived in Kansas Missouri before moving to Montana to ranch near Twedot and later Big Elk. She is survived by two sons two daughters and ten grandchildren.

Montana Driver's License Law Delayed to January First
Montana's new driver's license law will not take effect until January 1. Attorney General Bottomly ruled that motorists with 1947 licenses purchased before June end need not buy new licenses until next calendar year due to constitutional protections and contract concerns. Last Rites Held For Mrs Harris
Funeral services for Mrs. Alice McDonald Harris were held at the Congregational church in Big Timber. The long time resident died June 3 at her daughter Edith Kopriva’s home in Powell Wyoming after a cerebral hemorrhage. Surviving are two daughters Hazel Furnish of Poplar Bluff Missouri and Edith Kopriva of Powell Wyoming, a son Roy Harris of Twin Bridges, three grandsons and two granddaughters. One grandson Bruce Kopriva was killed in action in France in July 1944. A previous daughter Pearl Garske died in January 1930.

Mrs Fatima A Skillman 68 longtime Park county resident died Monday at Lott hospital after a long illness. Born Sept 15 1878 at Fish Creek she lived in Montana all her life. Survived by four sons Tom Theodore Fred and Ben Skillman all of Park county and four daughters Bessie Surdal Nellie Reynolds Ethel Alt and Edna Oates of Livingston, 23 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral held at Pemberton with last rites Wednesday.

Man Pleads Guilty To Reckless Driving In Livingston
Edmond Orsor of Livingston was fined 50 dollars by Justice of the Peace J. D. Holly after pleading guilty to reckless driving this week. Sheriff Walter Osborne and Under Sheriff Harold Heem said three others rode in the single seat car. Orsor’s brother reportedly overturned a 142 ton dump truck on Highway 10 west of Big Timber when blinded by oncoming lights.

Services were held at Smith funeral home Monday afternoon with Ralph W Glenn pastor of the American Lutheran church officiating.
