Former Local Man Killed in Bozeman Freight Crossing
Lee Anderson 35 of Bozeman formerly lineman for Montana Power died when his pickup collided with Northern Pacific westbound freight No. 603 two miles east of Bozeman. Train engineer Bob Oliver of Livingston said speed was about 20 mph. Anderson dragged a half mile. Survived by wife Annabelle Nesbit and four children Kenneth Bobby Karen Carol. Funeral at Hope Lutheran Church Bozeman at 2 p.m. today.

St Mark's Episcopal Guild hosts an open house in Dallman hall on Wednesday June 14 from 7 to 9 pm to honor the Prices who plan a move to Port Angeles Washington after Price retires from thirty four years in the ministry. Born April 26 1890 near Bannack he served in Whitefish Columbia Falls Miles City Hamilton and Big Timber and held prior work in the insurance business. He is a U S Army veteran and active in local civic groups. The couple have two daughters Carol Dowrey of Arlington Virginia and Janet Lindley of New Orleans Louisiana and will visit them this fall.

Boys In Custody Following Short AWOL
Two minor boys were picked up in Livingston after stealing a car and escaping from Probation Officer Albert Thomas of Billings Wednesday night around 11 p.m. They were recaptured the next day after the officer stopped for a car sickness. Sheriff Thompson said the youths were en route to Billings when they fled two miles east of Grey Cliff. A ranch woman later reported two boys matching their description at her home and they were detained near Work Creek.

Planning Addition At Boys Ranch
Bob Hartpence of Billings spoke in town to outline a memorial giving plan for Yellowstone Boys Ranch. The facility seeks a memorial lodge and a new grade school for 32 more boys, bringing total to 28. The lodge should finish by July 1 and the school by September 1. Memorials appear in a special Boys Ranch Wrangler supplement.

John Compton Dies of Heart Attack Near Ada Oklahoma
John Compton forty an Amerada employee and Big Timber resident died of a heart attack while fishing near Ada Oklahoma Wednesday of last week. He was with wife Mrs Compton and children Jane sixteen and Bill twelve on a vacation trip from Hardin. Funeral services were conducted Saturday in Ada and the family will remain there.
