4 H Junior Leadership Camp Returns Leaders

Heart Attack Fatal To Tina Alquist
Mrs. Vertina Tina Alquist 72 wife of the late Carl Alquist died Tuesday evening in a Livingston hospital after two weeks of recovery from an operation. She collapsed from a heart attack while walking in the hospital en route to coming home. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 o'clock from the Big Timber Lutheran church. An obituary will appear next week.

Goosey, also of Big Timber, earned the Lou Howard Memorial $1000 scholarship for outstanding music students. Both are 1959 Sweet Grass County High School graduates. Peterson majors in bacteriology with medical technology focus. Goosey is a sophomore mathematics major and MSC Symphonic Band member.

Larry McComb captured calf roping honors with an 11.9 second time earning 338 dollars amid a large Montana rodeo crowd. Roy Jones from Texas finished second for 253 dollars, with Herb Doentz and Bob Ragsdale tied for third. Other events awarded prize money to top riders including Jim Teese in saddle bronc, Pete Crump in bareback, and Walt Linderman in bulldogging, among others.
