A four teen year old girl Edna Wadsworth died after a pony frightened by locomotive steam dragged her about forty yards. Her brother escaped with minor injuries. Funeral held yesterday with Rev. Dunlop officiating.
A Colorado paper promotes a cheap dandelion remedy using a few drops of gasoline on the plants. The blossoms should be picked but the plant left intact, and an oil can prevents spillover on the grass. Dry conditions help the root rot and the method allegedly prevents reappearance. The note urges care to avoid grass damage and suggests trial in other cities where dandelions are a nuisance.
Mrs Nancy Kimberling died peacefully last Monday at age 79 after a period of failing health. She was mother to six children four of whom survive including Chas Kimberling of this city who lived with her, Mrs Marshall, Mrs Johnson of Oregon and Mrs Conant of Spokane. She leaves several grandchildren and one great grandchild. her husband died eighteen years ago. The family had moved to the area decades ago.
Miss Mabel Busha discovered smoke from a room at the Busha ranch home Tuesday night and alerted the family. The blaze began from a lamp explosion on the dresser and was quickly extinguished, preventing possible asphyxiation of the two younger sisters who hid under bed coverings.
