The notice states the paper is issued every Thursday evening and entered at the post office in Bigtimber Montana as second class matter. It mails to subscribers until canceled and arrears are paid in full with a subscription price of 1.00 per year. Advertising rates are available on application. It claims to be the only newspaper published in Sweet Grass County.
The county grain acreage is rising and farmers seek a cash market to move it. Residents recall a past Omaha delegation visit and urge improved infrastructure including concrete sidewalks, business houses, and a remedy for a stagnant water pool near the depot. The town promotes Big Timber bonds with the slogan For Big Timber and calls for local booster support.
A resolution levying taxes to fund a concrete walk in Improvement District No. 4 in Big Timber is open for inspection until June 15, 1907. Objections may be heard at 8:30 p.m. June 17, 1907 at A. G. Hatch’s office. Town Clerk Cr. E. C. Hauer invites aggrieved parties to attend. Additionally public notices advertise Hawks ranch pasturing and a stray gray saddle horse with brand sand 24x.
