Butter Factory Plans Boosted in Big Timber

A Hastings Industrial Co. representative, Andrew Wilke Jr., organized a cooperative creamery with local businessmen and farmers after a Pioneer article spotlighted need. A site is donated by G. Hawks, construction will begin soon, and a June 15 meeting will elect officers. The facility aims to serve about 400 cows within ten miles, signaling a solid start for the new industry.

Closing Week Ended With Diplomas For Class Of Seven

Friday night marked the close of commencement week as the class of 07 received diplomas at the county high school. A full auditorium applauded the class play The Merchant of Venice with standout performances by Ed Lamb as Shylock and Eda Hatch as Portia. The speaker urged rugged manhood, balanced with relaxation, and warned against letting money and pleasure derail moral progress. Reverend Smith praised honest labor and the value of character over wealth.

Chancellor Smith Gives Address at Wesleyan Commencement

Friday night at Wesleyan University Helena Chancellor Robert P. Smith spoke on "Making a Life" noting life is hard and libraries and the Bible guide choices. He joked on height comparing to Lincoln and Fairbanks and referenced Shakespeare about tides in human affairs.

Tintinger Morrison Nuptials in Ogden Valley

Theodore D. Tintinger married Pearl Morrison in Ogden Utah on May 19 at the brides parents home. Pearl Morrison, eldest daughter of Moses Morrison, is a graduate of Inter Mountain Business College. The groom is a prominent Sweet Grass County sheepman.

Doctor Announces Relocation to Big Timber Stand

Dr. A K Wearne states by June 15 he will be permanently located in Big Timber at the same old stand with more room fixtures and better equipment to serve those in need. He thanks the public for past kindness and asks for future patronage with an exact date to be announced later.
