Reckless Driver Kills Washington Tourist in Montana
Mrs. James E. Johnson a 35 year old Tacoma Washington woman was killed instantly when the family car hit loose gravel on U S highway No 10 ten miles west of Superior Montana and overturned. Her husband and two children were injured. The other driver in a green sedan allegedly tried to pass and forced the Johnson vehicle into the ditch. The family was en route to visit relatives in St Paul Minnesota.

Labor board chief urges compensation tax cuts
Jimmy Graham of the Montana Federation of Labor told the Livingston Enterprise the payroll tax under the workmen’s compensation act is driving up costs for employers using structural steel workers as an example. Noted racing rider makes his last trip
Jimmy Snyder, a 31 year old noted racing driver from Los Angeles who finished second in this year’s Decoration Day classic at Indianapolis, was killed in a midget auto race at Cahokia track near East St. Louis. His white car plowed into an outer guard fence and rolled onto the track before being smashed by another car, dying almost instantly on the home stretch during the twelfth lap of a 40 lap feature in front of about 4,000 spectators.
