President C H Williams of Deer Lodge urged sheepmen to consider freight and shrinkage costs as grease wool ships with 60 percent loss after cleaning. F J Hagenhbarth, unable to attend due to illness, had his address read by F R Marshal. E O Selway of Dillon elected vice president. trustees named include J O Derg, William Kuhr, J H Carmichael, RF Clary, Guy Stambaugh, John Etchart, Percy Williamson and Earl Sime. Executive committee includes A T Hibberd, N Arndt, Harry Snider. Next year’s convention invited from Bozeman, Butte, Miles City, Missoula. executive committee to choose site. Colstrip Miners Secure Ten Year Contract
Foles Brothers Inc of St Paul awarded a new contract to continue mining at Colstrip for the Northwestern Improvement Co, a Northern Pacific Railway subsidiary. The pact covers 30,000,000 cubic yards of coal, expected to last nine to ten years. Foley Brothers began Colstrip work in 1924 under a five year deal, producing about 3000 to 3500 tons daily, with recent output around 7660 tons amid rising demand.

Susan C Hunter Pioneer Of Hunters Springs Dies At 94
Susan C Murray Hunter, longtime Montana resident and widow of Dr A J Hunter discoverer of Hunters Hot Springs, died at her daughter Mary Doane in Bozeman on Thursday January 17. Born May 28 1835 in Mansfield Ohio she moved west with her husband in 1864 and helped found the Hunter Springs resort later. She was a charter member of Payne Memorial Christian church and a member of the Pioneers Society. Survived by three daughters five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
