Two Killed Four Injured in Crash In Montana county
Two Billings girls, Lora Jean Bailey and Patricia Leland, were killed when their car crossed paths with Charles Whitford's vehicle near Big Timber. Four others were injured, including James Leland, Patricia’s brother, as the wet road contributed to the collision after a passing attempt. The Central Christian church youth group was involved.

Pasco Visit Planned By Lamach Family
Mr. and Mrs. George Lamach left for Pasco Washington to visit her brother Rex Phillips and family and her sister Elsie Downer. They will be joined by another sister Mrs Paul Akeridge of Anaheim California. They plan to be away about five or six days.

Lions Make Donations To Nursing Home And Fair Booth
The Big Timber Lions club donated an electric razor to Pioneer Nursing Home and contributed toward a gas hot plate for the concession booth at the fair grounds. At Hagers, Mr. and Mrs. George Turman and family from Missoula visited Friday to see her parents Mr. and Mrs. John Hager and friends Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kady and family of Omaha. They plan to spend time at a Boulder cabin and tour the park.

Berdine Woodhouse of Big Timber and Sharon Lammers of Harlowton were among 50 contestants at Montana State University Bozeman for the annual Mon tana 4 H Congress Dress Revue. Each wore a self made garment judged on style and value 25 percent construction 25 percent and posture. First place went to Liane Mountain Miles City with Nancy LaFrance Bridger as alternate.

Retired Navy Pilot Visits Home Town from Conn
A. D. Nicholson and his son Nicky arrived at Big Timber airport from West Redding Connecticut to visit his sister Mrs. Henry Elgen. Nicholson, a retired USN commander since 1962, is general manager of Robert Fulton company of Danbury Connecticut. The company develops the Skyhook air rescue system now being installed on C-130 aircraft for astronaut recovery. The visit spans about ten days and follows Nicky’s recent Connecticut high school graduation. Cathy Nicholson joined her mother in Miami Florida.

Mrs. Maxine Robinson hosted a going away party Tuesday at the Dugout with daughter Kathy and son Tom as guests of honor. 29th Annual County Fair Opens At Fairgrounds Friday Morning
The 29th Sweet Grass County Fair opens its two day session at 10 a m Friday with judging of exhibits to begin. 4-H FFA FHA and Home Economic displays are featured. A Thursday night 4-H Style Show Talent Show and skits sponsored by 4-H Jr Leaders and County Home Demonstration Clubs starts at 8 p m at the fair grounds with prizes promised.
