The fourth annual fair exhibit opens with perfect weather and bustling grounds. A strong horse field from Kalispell to Red Lodge fills stalls as judges and crowds anticipate exciting races and lively side attractions.

Visit to the Tie Camp on Lower Deer Creek

A writer describes a scenic drive to the Harrison tie camp above Big Timber. A. R. Cavane supervised blasting and rock cuts to build access, with 14,000 ties floated last spring and about 12,500 cut now, aiming for 51,000 ready for the next drive. The camp hosts a lively evening with music from the “tie hackers” and a memorable camp orchestra.

Splendid Concert Closes Parochial School Week

The Congregational church hosted a closing concert Sunday evening under Lutheran auspices. Rev. E. A. Erickson led a five week parochial school program with a full church and standing room only as attendees enjoyed a splendid evening.

Concert by Wood's orchestra and local performers praised

A city program opened with Wood's orchestra then a children’s chorus. Prof Theo Reimestad of Minneapolis sang in a rich tenor, and the quartet including Mrs. Mulkern and Rev Erickson performed "Come Away." Piano and baritone solos followed with a duet "Hope Beyond." The concert ended with more pieces and high praise for Rev Erickson. A midday basket dinner and brief talks preceded the event, drawing many congregation members.

Market and street speed rules in Big Timber 1907
