Fire destroys restaurant on McLeod and First avenue
A late evening blaze consumed the restaurant on the corner of McLeod and First Avenue, with buckets and a hydrant stream saving adjacent buildings. The unoccupied, dilapidated block owned by Mrs. Josie Klein suffered about 800 dollars in losses, with no insurance. The cause remains unknown, some suspect incendiary action.

Melville Holds First Annual Sports Day
Melville hosted its first annual sports last Saturday with about twenty five participants in a colorful parade and a minstrel show. Bennett from Two Det. won the broncho busting contest, Millegan of Greycliff took second, and Archie Duffey placed third. VanCleve and Scarlett drew in polo, and about fifty couples attended the grand ball. Local crowds from Helena and nearby areas joined the event.

The PA Parochial School closes after five weeks of sessions with Sunday afternoon singing at Park at 1 30. Prof. S Reimestad of Minneapolis will sing and speak.
