Samuel John Hampton, 75, longtime Belgrade Journal editor and publisher, pioneer Montana newspaperman, died yesterday at his Belgrade home. Born October 22, 1861 in Bonham Texas he married in 1882. Survived by wife and six children in Montana and New Mexico. his golden wedding anniversary was July 27, 1932. Funeral at Dokken's chapel Bozeman Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial in Bozeman.

Four cars were involved in a collision Monday forenoon near the railroad overpass two miles east of Laurel at the old road and present U S highway No 10. Bob Harriet of Billings attempted to pass but was forced to collide with H E Wehr.
