Prisoners Escape County Jail in Daring Breakout
Thomas Mold and James Carson fled the county jail Sunday afternoon using a gas pipe to batter a wall and a table knife to saw an iron bar. They climbed through the cells to the transom and crawled to liberty, evading guards until Undersheriff Kirkwood discovered the escape at 4:30 p.m. A $50 reward is offered for their recapture.
