Local Barber Harold Perrine Found Dead In Shop
Harold Perrine 63 was found dead in his Big Timber barber shop from a gunshot wound described as self inflicted. Coroner and sheriff report he died Tuesday night and was discovered on Thursday by Dick Gibson and two women after they worried for his absence. He had recently been released from Community hospital and planned to return to work. He was born August 14, 1896, and survived by a brother, three sisters, nieces, and was buried after services at Lowry Chapel with a funeral group of pallbearers named in the notice.

Norman W. Hauge of Wolf Point Democrat for Congress in Montana's second district met Norman Hauge of Big Timber briefly in Big Timber while en route to a Stillwater area meeting. The Wolf Point native born in 1915 is a Roosevelt County farmer and eight year county commissioner. Strickland Fish Feed Draws Big Crowd at Legion Hall
Over 160 people attended a fish feed and movie presentation at the Legion hall last Friday. Ben Strickland supplied the Canadian fish and showed films of the north country, highlighting winter life in northern Saskatchewan. The Big Timber Rod and Gun Club sponsored and prepared the meal. Four Schools Compete In Annual Invitational Track Meet

Boat Club Plans Ramp and Dock at Glasston Lake
The Big Timber Boat Club met at the Dugout with Commodore Dr. Vernon Standish in charge to discuss a boat ramp at Glasston lake. About 35 tons of shale are stockpiled to cover the ramp as water recedes, with dock sections to be added in stages forming a T at the far end. A washout blocks the new road, but repairs should finish in about two weeks.

Two Escape Serious Injury In Wreck Near Grey Cliff
Joseph Bojok the driver of a small foreign car and a Negro passenger escaped with minor injuries when their vehicle left highway 10 about two miles east of Grey Cliff at about 6 45 am Monday. The car hit a telephone pole and overturned in a barrow pit. Both were treated and released at Community hospital. Bojok was fined 15 dollars in justice court for failure to drive carefully after pleading guilty.
