Last Will And Testament Of Lee Smoot Filed For Probate
The last will and testament of Lee Smoot who died recently at his ranch home on the Boulder is filed for probate. Executed January 12 1928 it is witnessed by D V Highie and J N Blankenbaker. He provides for debt and burial expenses and interment at Dover church cemetery Scotland county Missouri. He leaves to niece Nellie Smoot a note of November 1 1921 for 8000 and a possible 9000 cash if the note is paid before death. The local Masonic lodge receives 860. William Edgar Coffey of Queen City Missouri and Lee Smoot of Big Timber Montana are named as joint-life tenants in real estate with the survivor becoming sole tenant and heirs of nephews share on both deaths. Personal property goes to the nephews Smoot and Coffey who are named executors without bond. The will notes the deceased was about 65.

In Nebraska yesterday the progressive wing showed strength with Howell winning the Republican Senate nomination over Spillman by about 14 000 votes from 1079 of 1983 precincts.
