Death of Piney resident Tom Clementsen
Tom Clementsen of Pinedale died last Tuesday in Piney of pneumonia. He was a highly respected young citizen, with a deep sadness settling over the community. William John Hawes, born in Denver and 25, came to Big Piney ten years ago and has long been part of the Osterhout family. Bill served as foreman for the Big Piney Roundup Association for eight years.

Obituary of Local Community Member Who Died 1918
Four years of faithful service marked his tenure in a local post. A member of the W O W of Big Piney and the Elks lodge of Rock Springs, he died after a ten day illness from Spanish influenza on Wednesday November 18, 1918. He was cared for at the home of Austin Richardson on Horse Creek. The Osterhout home will host the funeral tomorrow morning.

Wardell Family Illnesses and Local Moves Reported
Five members of the Wardell family were on the sick list this past week. Mr. Olson and Mr. Luce are in an Omaha hospital with severe colds. Hildur Swanstrom spent last weekend at home. Parley Wardell visited town last Wednesday. Ralph Griffin called at the Wardell ranch Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hiles moved from Kendall to Piney and rented the Oscar Beck house used as Red Cross headquarters during summer.

Christmas Boxes for Soldiers from Green River Valley
The Green River Valley Chapter of the Red Cross has received 125 Christmas boxes to fill and send to soldiers in France. Donors are urged to respond quickly as boxes must be shipped by the 20th.
