Bishop Thomas Praises Wyoming Episcopal Work
Last Sunday morning Rt. Rev. N. S. Thomas bishop of Wyoming delivered a sermon at the Episcopal church and confirmed two, celebrated the Holy Eucharist. He praised parish departments especially Sunday school and St. John's Guild and noted most communicants attended. Sunday school will meet next Sunday at St. John's Mission with teachers in charge in the rector’s absence.

The next Teachers Examination will be held at Kemmerer Big Piney Afton and Jackson on December 6 7 and 8 1917. Paper will be furnished. Teachers must provide pens and ink. The United States vice-president Thomas R. Marshall of Indiana visited Kemmerer last Friday evening addressing a state-wide gathering with Cheyenne Rawlins Rock Springs Evanston and county attendees. He spoke about Americanism linking the war to civic duties in a one hour and thirty minute talk. Afterward a dance followed the speech.

Christmas Boxes Being Sent For Soldiers
H. L. Budd launches a subscription drive to provide Christmas boxes for boys who have joined the army away from home. Over $100 has been subscribed to date. Boxes will be sent from Piney before November 15 due to distance and traffic. Readers with knowledge of any Green River Valley soldiers at training camps or across the water are asked to forward names and addresses to the Examiner. Harry Middlesworth of Pinedale is visiting Big Piney.

Green River Valley Boys Move to N Y
During October volunteers from the Green River Valley at Camp Green Charlotte North Carolina were transferred to Minneola New York. The move appears to be a step toward sending them to transports for France. The bull dog sent to Charlotte by the Pinedale boys is back with Mr Parrish of Pinedale and letters from the boys express confidence in soon entering training camps in France and then the trenches.
